The Edinburgh Te Deum

James MacMillan

The Edinburgh Te Deum is a Latin setting which was composed in 1978. It is an attractive and accessible work which employs homophonic and polyphonic writing along with solo and a cappella passages and minimal divisi. The organ part is substantial and includes several interludes. The work is suitable for intermediate to advanced standard performers and is a welcome addition to the MacMillan repertory.
