Since 1994, Nils Wogram has been recognized as one of the most promising instrumental soloists in Europe in the areas of Jazz,
Improvisational Music and New Music. With his bands as well as a soloist he toured worldwide and played on important festivals
such as the Jazzfest Berlin, Moers New Jazz Festival, ENJA Records 25th Anniversary Festival (New York) and many others.
He was involved in productions for all German speaking radio and TV stations and some other European broadcasing companies.
Nils Wogram has worked together with renowned artists such as Kenny Werner, Simon Nabatov, Arnie Lawrence, Herman
Foster, Gunter Hampel, Illinois Jaquet, Nils Landgren, Tomasz Stanko, Ed Schuller, Michael Formanek, Brad
Shepik, Kenny Wheeler, George Garzone, Pee Wee Ellis, Phil Minton, Fred Frith, Aki Takase, Albert Mangelsdorff,
Conny Bauer a.o.
Aside from being a performing artists, Nils Wogram works as a composer as well. His works include all the pieces on his CDs.
Various compositions of his have been recorded and performed live by the NDR and WDR Big Bands. In 1997 he received the
prize for composition of the Julius Hemphill Competition, USA.. Since 1999 he is proffessor for trombone, ensemble and composition at
the Conservatory of Hannover.
Since 1996 he has extensively toured Europe with his bands.
