Catscratchbook

Wonderful Caterwauling

In the words of Aleksey Igudesman himself… “…these are not the most conventional children’s pieces. But I do not believe that children are conventional either.”

 The Catscratchbook

– Easy Violin Duets with poems and CD

· 10 violin duets, all about cats, to challenge, provoke and above all, enjoy

· supporting musical notes inspire yet the youngest to have fun with an unconventional
performance – ranging from a fleet-footed pizzicato to the first dangerous ponticello

· amusing cat poems round off the music with a winking: “…read them out loud before you perform the pieces and you are guaranteed a smiling public!”

· CD with inspiring demonstration performances and play-along tracks for both 1st and 2nd violins

An inspiring and innovative choice for middle grade players.

Born in St. Petersburg Aleksey Igudesman studied violin and composition at the “Yehudi MenuhinSchool” and the Vienna Conservatory. He performes as soloist, conductor, and composer all over the world. His projects include recording, composing, and arranging music for film productions amongst others by Georg Riha and the Oscar-winning H. Zimmer. Aleksey’s works are performed worldwide by numerous artists, ensembles and orchestras.
